Bangladesh is set to host the Women’s T20 World Cup in September and October 2024. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has chosen Dhaka and Sylhet as the hosting cities, and both venues will undergo renovations in preparation for the tournament. The 10 participating teams will be split into groups of five, playing matches in Dhaka and Sylhet, while warm-up matches will take place in BKSP.
Additionally, the defending champions, the Australia women’s team, will tour Bangladesh for ODI and T20I series to familiarize themselves with the World Cup conditions. The three-match ODI series is scheduled for March 21, 23, and 25, with the T20 series concluding around April 4, although specific match days are yet to be determined. Australia is set to arrive in Bangladesh on March 17.
