277 Players Registered for 73 Slots
This year, a total of 277 players will vie for just 73 team spots across the five WPL franchises. Of these, 194 are Indian players, including 52 experienced internationals and 142 uncapped cricketers. The Indian players will compete for 50 of the available slots, while the remaining 83 overseas players—66 capped and 17 uncapped—will battle for 23 foreign player spots.

Star-Studded Lineup
Some of the biggest names in women’s cricket will be part of this year’s auction. Indian stars such as Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh will go under the hammer, while the overseas marquee list includes Sophie Devine (NZ), Sophie Ecclestone (ENG), Alyssa Healy (AUS), Amelia Kerr (NZ), and Meg Lanning (AUS).
Base Prices and Team Budgets
Players have registered in various base-price categories: 19 players at ₹50 lakh, 11 at ₹40 lakh, and 88 at ₹30 lakh. Collectively, the five teams have ₹41.1 crore to spend in the auction. UP Warriorz lead with the highest budget of ₹14.5 crore after retaining only one player. Last season’s champions Mumbai Indians and runners-up Delhi Capitals will enter with ₹5.75 crore and ₹5.7 crore, respectively.
