West Indies defeated Australia by 37 runs in the 3rd T20I at Perth, securing a 2-1 series victory. Despite a shaky start for the visitors at 17 for 3, Andre Russell (71 off 29) and Sherfane Rutherford (67 not out off 40 balls) helped the Windies reach 220 for 6.

Australia, with a strong start from David Warner’s 81 off 49 balls, faltered in the middle overs against Roston Chase (2/19) and Romario Shepherd (2/31), losing three wickets for three runs. Tim David’s 41 not out off 19 balls couldn’t save Australia, as they ended at 83 for 5.

The West Indies, having drawn the Test series 1-1 and lost the ODI series 3-0 in Australia, concluded the tour with a 2-1 T20I series defeat. Andre Russell was awarded the Player of the Match for his outstanding half-century. This T20 win was only the second for West Indies in Australia.
