Urvil’s blistering 65 off 23 balls, featuring 2 fours and 8 sixes, powered CSK to a successful chase of 204 runs and helped the team climb to No. 5 on the points table. It was also his maiden IPL fifty, coming after a series of quick starts in previous matches where he failed to convert.
Speaking about his conversation with Dhoni in the dressing room, Urvil said the former CSK captain told him to trust his ability and keep a clear mindset. Dhoni advised him to focus on playing the right ball at the right area rather than overthinking his dismissals.
Urvil also revealed an emotional moment after reaching his milestone, pulling out a note that read: “Dad this is for you,” dedicating the achievement to his father, who stood by him through early struggles in his career.
The 27-year-old admitted he had been waiting for this special moment in the IPL and described the knock as one of the most emotional of his career.
