Sanju Samson, renowned for his batting prowess and safe wicketkeeping skills, has emerged as one of the standout performers in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, his IPL teammate, Ravichandran Ashwin, recently shed light on a lesser-known aspect of Samson’s personality.
Contrary to his serious demeanor on the field, Ashwin revealed that Samson possesses a delightful sense of humor off the field, a facet known to only a few. Ashwin attributed this discrepancy to the “problem of perfection” that many individuals encounter, where the public perception of someone may differ significantly from their true self.
“Sanju is extremely funny off the field. I am not sure a lot of people understand that or probably know that. It’s a problem of perfection a lot of people battle how you see someone on the ground and how they are off it, it’s completely different,” remarked Ashwin during an interview with Star Sports.
Samson’s endearing personality was further highlighted by a heartwarming gesture captured in a viral video. He fulfilled the dream of a specially-abled child by playing cricket with him, demonstrating his compassion and humility off the field.
As the IPL 2024 season approaches, Samson is set to lead Rajasthan Royals, igniting anticipation among fans for another thrilling season of cricketing action. The tournament, commencing on March 22nd, promises excitement and entertainment, with Rajasthan Royals kicking off their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants on March 24th at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
