Moody’s role will extend beyond LSG, giving him input in the operations of Durban Super Giants in the SA20 and Manchester Originals in The Hundred.
At LSG, he will work alongside fellow Australian Justin Langer, who continues as Head Coach, and newly appointed strategic advisor Kane Williamson. Moody brings extensive IPL experience, having previously been part of Punjab Kings and notably Sunrisers Hyderabad, with whom he won an IPL title.
Speaking on his appointment, Moody said, “It’s a privilege to take on the role of Global Director of Cricket for the RPSG Group. After positive discussions with Mr. Goenka, it became clear that this was an exciting opportunity, and I’m thrilled to work alongside him.”
He added, “I look forward to building a unified cricketing philosophy across all franchises, driving excellence in performance, player development, and strategic planning. I’m excited to collaborate with players, coaches, and management to achieve our goals both on and off the field.”
