Chasing a 182-run target on a tricky, two-paced pitch, LSG were under pressure before Choudhary produced a stunning finishing act, scoring 52 runs as the team clinched victory off the final ball.

Speaking after the match, Langer revealed that LSG performance analyst Shrinivas Chandrasekaran played a key role in identifying the young talent ahead of the IPL 2026 auction.

Langer was particularly impressed with Choudhary’s athleticism and composure under pressure, drawing a comparison to Virat Kohli for his elite running between the wickets.

“What I love most about him is that he’s a real athlete. The way he runs between the wickets is elite, like Virat,” Langer said.

He also highlighted the youngster’s maturity and game awareness, adding that Choudhary speaks and reads the game like someone who has already played 300 matches.

LSG coach further noted that despite his young age, Choudhary shows rare hunger and temperament, with the potential to develop into a top-level finisher in the future.
