South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir has accused the Rangpur Riders of failing to pay him his full contract amount for his participation in the last edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Speaking ahead of a Global Super League (GSL) match on Wednesday, where his team Guyana Amazon Warriors faced Rangpur, Tahir shared his frustrations. “I would like to win this for Guyana and for personal reasons as well,” he said. “I played for Rangpur Riders in the BPL last year, and I have not received my full contract payment.”

Tahir also took a subtle jab at Rangpur, emphasizing the character of his current team. “Guyana has backed their local players. They get to earn some money, play good cricket, and show that we are better human beings than them (Rangpur Riders),” he remarked.
