The left-arm spinner achieved the landmark in just her 29th T20I match, surpassing Kuldeep Yadav’s previous Indian record of 30 matches. Charani completed the milestone by dismissing Bangladesh opener Juairiya Ferdous in the sixth over. Ferdous attempted to play across the line but only managed a top edge, with Richa Ghosh completing the catch behind the stumps. She was dismissed for 14 off 18 balls.
Charani quickly followed the milestone with a maiden over, maintaining an excellent line and length outside off stump and keeping Bangladesh batter Sobhana Mostary under pressure.
