Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and his wife, Ansha Afridi, are celebrating the birth of their first child. They have named their baby boy Ali Yar.

This occasion is particularly significant for the Afridi family, as former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, Shaheen’s father-in-law, becomes a grandfather for the first time.
Shaheen Shah Afridi will leave for Karachi tomorrow night after the first Test match against Bangladesh. He will rejoin the team for the second Test in Rawalpindi.
Shaheen and Ansha, the second eldest daughter of Shahid Afridi, got engaged in 2021. Their nikkah took place on February 3, 2023, followed by a week-long celebration and rukhsati in September 2023. A grand reception was held at DHA Golf and Country Club, attended by many former and current national team players.
