Scotland Women’s Cricket Team Set for Their First T20 World Cup
The Scotland women’s cricket team is making its debut in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Their first match will be against Bangladesh on Thursday, 3 October 2024, in Sharjah.
This year’s tournament, featuring 10 teams, was relocated from Bangladesh to the UAE due to security concerns. Scotland will be the 12th team to ever compete in the tournament.
Kathryn Bryce will captain the team, while her sister, Sarah Bryce, will serve as vice-captain and wicketkeeper.
Since their international debut in 2001, Scotland’s women have played 59 T20 matches, winning 35, losing 23, and having one match with no result.
