Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel and Noman Ali have climbed the ICC Test Rankings after standout performances in the recent Test series against England.
Following a tough loss in the first Test, Pakistan made four changes, bringing in spinners Sajid Khan and Noman Ali for Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. This decision paid off as Sajid and Noman claimed 39 of the 40 English wickets in the last two Tests, securing Pakistan’s first home Test series win since 2021.
Noman Ali took 20 wickets in two Tests, moving up to a career-best ninth in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings with 759 points. Sajid Khan also performed well, taking 19 wickets and climbing to 38th position.

On the batting side, Saud Shakeel’s 134-run innings in the third Test boosted him 20 spots to seventh in the ICC Test Batting Rankings with 724 points, making him Pakistan’s top-ranked batter. Babar Azam also improved, reaching 18th with 670 points. However, Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha slipped to 22nd and 21st places, respectively.
