Amid minor injury concerns, India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate confirmed that Rohit Sharma is doing fine and is managing his injury well ahead of the match against New Zealand. He also stated that the team management is not considering resting any key players, as they had a full week’s break following their previous fixture.

Speaking to reporters in Dubai, Ten Doeschate said

“He’s all right. It’s an injury he’s had before, so he knows how to manage it really well. The priority is ensuring our key players are fully fit for the semi-final on March 4. However, we also don’t want to keep them out for too long, considering we’ve already had a week off.”

He further added:

“We might look to rotate the bowling workload slightly, but we also want to maintain momentum and secure a top spot in the group. Balancing player workload and the importance of winning against New Zealand is something we are considering.”
