RCB Secures New Sponsorship After Qatar Airways Exits as Title Partner Ahead of IPL 2026

RCB Secures New Sponsorship After Qatar Airways Exits as Title Partner Ahead of IPL 2026

RCB’s previous deal with Qatar Airways ran from 2023 to 2025 and was reportedly worth ₹275 crore over three years. The new partnership with Nothing marks a fresh chapter for the franchise, which celebrated its maiden IPL title in 2025.

Team Ownership Update
Meanwhile, RCB currently finds itself without an owner. Diageo, the franchise’s existing owner, has put the team up for sale and hopes to finalize a deal before the start of the upcoming season. Several potential buyers have expressed interest, with Serum Institute of India’s Aadar Poonawalla emerging as a top contender. These ownership and sponsorship changes have been in discussion since the tragic stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during RCB’s 2025 celebrations, which claimed 11 lives.

Preparing for IPL 2026 Auctions
On the cricketing front, RCB is gearing up for the IPL 2026 player auctions, scheduled in Abu Dhabi on 16th December 2025. Teams must submit their list of retained players by 15th November.

RCB is expected to retain most of the squad that helped them clinch their first IPL title. While the core group will stay, the franchise may release a few underperforming players to free up funds for the auctions and fine-tune their squad for another title challenge.
