According to the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA), Jadeja plans to play two group-stage matches scheduled in Alur on January 6 and January 8. An SCA official confirmed to TOI that this is the current plan, though it could change if Jadeja is called up for India’s upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, starting January 11 in Vadodara.

Jadeja’s willingness to participate in domestic cricket is a positive sign for his preparation and form ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. Playing competitive matches alongside Kohli and Rohit underlines his commitment to staying fit and in top form. He is also part of India’s squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
The all-rounder recently missed India’s tour of Australia but returned for the home ODI series against South Africa, scoring 56 runs across two innings and taking one wicket, showcasing his all-round skills.

Saurashtra are in Group D and will start their campaign against Odisha on December 24, followed by a clash against Haryana on December 26, both in Alur. Jadeja is expected to feature in the team’s final two group-stage matches on January 6 and 8, providing crucial experience and leadership for the side.
