Rajasthan Royals (RR) have strongly refuted all match-fixing allegations linked to their narrow two-run defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during the ongoing IPL 2025 season.
Deep Roy, a senior official from the franchise, dismissed the claims as entirely baseless and warned that such accusations could severely harm the reputation of the team. The allegations were made by Jaideep Bihani, the convenor of the ad-hoc committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), following RR’s loss in Jaipur on April 20.
“We reject all allegations made by the convener of the ad hoc committee. Such public statements are not only misleading but have caused serious damage to the reputation and credibility of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI. They also tarnish the integrity of cricket,” said Roy, as quoted by Livemint.
In response, RR management has written to the state Chief Minister, urging strict action against Bihani for his comments.

Bihani, who is also an MLA from Sri Ganganagar, stirred controversy when he hinted the match was fixed and criticized the exclusion of RCA from IPL 2025’s organizational affairs. “Even a kid would say that the match against LSG was fixed,” he said in an interview with News18 Rajasthan.
He further questioned the franchise’s functioning, stating, “If an MoU isn’t in place with the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, does that mean RCA should be excluded? Aren’t RR still paying Zila Parishad per match?”
RR, struggling this season with just two wins in eight matches, will next face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 24.
