Karachi Kings’ bowler Hasan Ali is encouraging fans to purchase tickets for the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine, rather than relying on free passes. The announcement was made on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

PSL 9 is set to take place in four cities – Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi – culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. The opening ceremony is scheduled before the first match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

Featuring performances by Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, Arif Lohar, and Noori, the opening ceremony promises fireworks and a laser show. Gates will open for spectators at 3:30 pm, with the ceremony starting at 6:30 pm.

PSL 9 will unfold in two legs, with Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium hosting 14 matches from February 17 to 27. The action then shifts to Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be held from February 28 to March 12. The playoffs will be exclusively in Karachi.

An eagerly awaited clash between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings is slated for February 24 and March 9, with Gaddafi Stadium hosting the first encounter and the National Bank Stadium being the venue for the match on March 9.

Teams like Kings, Qalandars, Sultans, and United will play five matches at their respective home grounds, while Peshawar Zalmi will play four matches at Pindi Cricket Stadium. Quetta Gladiators are scheduled to play three matches each in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, with one match at Multan Cricket Stadium against the home side Sultans on February 25.
