The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled the trophy for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Lahore, marking the beginning of the excitement surrounding the tournament.
The unveiling ceremony took place at the Polo Ground in Lahore, characterized by a distinctive style. The venue saw the arrival of national and international horse-riding teams, carrying flags to add to the grandeur of the occasion.
Chairman PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, along with the owners of PSL teams, graced the event with their presence. The ceremony was further elevated by the performance of a special band, which played a variety of tunes, creating memorable moments.
Team captains, including Shaheen Afridi, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shadab Khan, were also in attendance, adding to the aura of anticipation surrounding the league.
HBL PSL 9 is scheduled to commence from February 17th at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, which will host nine matches. The tournament will kick off with an opening ceremony followed by a match between Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United.
Teams such as Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United have established their training camps in Lahore, with all four teams commencing their practice sessions from today, gearing up for the thrilling contests ahead.
