PCB Chairman Najam Sethi has affirmed that the ongoing matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi will proceed unaffected despite the recent terrorist attack on the Karachi police chief’s office. According to Sethi, stringent presidential security measures have been in place for players and officials since the beginning of the league, ensuring their safety.
"PSL matches will proceed as planned. We are ensuring the well-being of all players," Sethi stated. Additionally, another PCB official noted that both security agencies and the government have granted clearance for the PSL matches to proceed in Karachi.
“The incident that occurred yesterday is entirely unrelated to the PSL,” the official emphasized. With two matches scheduled at the National Stadium over the weekend, security measures have been intensified at both the team hotel and the match venue.
