Is India’s Ravindra Jadeja the number one all-rounder in the world?

It was his fans who raised questions after his poor performance with the bat and ball against Sri Lanka in Mohali. It was Jadeja who now occupied the number one spot as an all-rounder in the ICC Test rankings.

He scored 175 not out with the bat against Sri Lanka. He took 9 wickets with the ball. He was one of the architects of India’s first Test win at home. He got his prize. He sent Jason Holder in two and came up. India’s other all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin is at number three.

Consistent success is one of the reasons for Jadeja’s rise. He has matched himself in all formats. He has given success to the team in T20s and ODIs as well as in Tests. But the cricketer is ahead of the other all-rounders in one place. Jadeja is one of the best in the world as a fielder.

Australia’s Marsan Labuschagne is at the top of the Test rankings as a batter. with 936 points. Two to four are England’s Joe Root, Australia’s Steve Smith and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson respectively. However, Virat Kohli came up two steps to five. Virat, who recently played the 100th Test of his career, did not get a century for a long time but is scoring 60-70 runs regularly. He also got runs on the tour of South Africa.

There is no change in the bowlers’ rankings. Australian Test captain Pat Cummins remained at number one. Ravichandran Ashwin is the two Indian spinners. Kagiso Rabada, Shaheen Afridi, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee, James Anderson, Neil Wagner, Josh Hazlewood respectively from three to nine. Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah at 10.
