Both players sustained injuries during Friday’s T20I against West Indies in Chattogram. With only 23 days before the Ireland series, their recovery window is limited.
Injury updates from Bangladesh physio Team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan confirmed that Nurul Hasan twisted his right ankle while fielding, while Shoriful Islam suffered a right hamstring strain. Speaking to The Daily Star, Bayjedul said: “Sohan (Nurul) may need around three weeks, while Shoriful could take two to three.”
Shoriful is set to start rehab on Thursday, while Nurul Hasan has already begun his recovery. Bangladesh may consider replacements if necessary, with Jaker Ali potentially stepping in for Nurul and Mustafizur Rahman filling in for Shoriful.
