Netherlands Secures Victory with a 7-Wicket Triumph Over Namibia


Netherlands clinched its first victory in the ICC World Cup Cricket League-2 tri-series, beating Namibia by 7 wickets. They successfully chased Namibia’s target of 124 runs in 27.2 overs, losing 3 wickets at Kirtipur’s TU Cricket ground. With this win, Netherlands now has two points from two matches, having lost to Nepal by 9 wickets in the first game.

Namibia also has two points, securing their win against Nepal by 4 wickets in the initial match. In today’s match, Michael Levitt top-scored with 57 runs for Netherlands, supported by Max O’Dowd (28 runs) and Bas de Leede (21 runs). Zerrad Erasmus took 3 wickets for Namibia.

Batting first after losing the toss, Namibia scored 123 runs in 35.1 overs, with JJ Smit (26 runs), Zane Green (19 runs), Ruben Trumpelmann (20 runs), Nikolaas Davin, Captain Zerrad Erasmus (13 runs each), and Bernard Scholtz (13 runs). Aryan Dutta of Netherlands claimed 6 wickets, while Kayla Klein and Roelof van der Merwe took 2 and 1 wicket, respectively.
