Netherlands Cruises to Eight-Wicket Win Over Nepal


In an exciting finish to the ICC CWC League 2 tri-nations ODI series, Netherlands convincingly beat Nepal by eight wickets.

Netherlands chose to bowl first after winning the toss at TU Cricket Ground, limiting Nepal to a total of 172 runs.

Chasing the modest target, Netherlands confidently achieved victory with only two wickets down in 37.5 overs.Vikramjitt Singh contributed significantly to the Netherlands with a spectacular 58-run half-century. Contributions from SA Engelbrecht, M Levitt, and MP O’Down added 46, 39, and 28 runs to their total.

On the bowling side, Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee each secured one wicket for Nepal.

In the first innings, Kushal Bhurtel anchored Nepal’s batting with his eighth ODI half-century, scoring 66 runs. Additional contributions from Karan KC, Aarif Sheikh, and Rohit Poudel added 26, 22, and 16 runs to Nepal’s total.

Notably, VJ Kingma and Aryan Dutt stood out as bowlers for the Netherlands, each claiming three wickets.
