Sylhet Division is at the top of the table after beating Rangpur Division by four wickets in the third round of the NCL in Bogra. Rejaur Rahman Raja starred with a maiden half-century, scoring 59 runs to help Sylhet chase down 190 runs.
Rejaur came in as a nightwatchman on the third evening and added 56 runs for the third wicket with Pinak Ghosh, who scored 42. Sylhet captain Amite Hasan finished the chase with an unbeaten 37.
In the low-scoring match, Sylhet’s fast bowlers took all ten wickets in Rangpur’s first innings, bowling them out for 158. Sylhet then led by 31 runs after their first innings. Rangpur responded with 220 runs, thanks to fifties from Tanbir Hayder and Nobin Islam, who added 149 runs for the seventh wicket. Sylhet remains the only unbeaten team in the NCL.
In another match, Khulna Division defeated Dhaka Metropolis by nine wickets in Sylhet, thanks to offspinner Mahedi Hasan, who took his third ten-wicket haul in first-class cricket.
Batting first, Khulna scored 376 runs, led by centuries from openers Anamul Haque (125) and Amit Majumder (145). However, they collapsed from 330 for 2 to 376 all out. Mahedi took 5 for 62, helping to bowl out Dhaka Metro for 210 runs. Dhaka’s Marshall Ayub fought back with 152 runs, and Aminul Islam contributed 73. Mahedi finished with figures of 5 for 88.
Khulna then chased down a target of 207 runs in 35 overs with quick fifties from Anamul and Imrul Kayes.
Rajshahi Division defeated Barishal Division by six wickets in Cox’s Bazar. Barishal was bowled out for 205 runs despite Iftakhar Hossain’s maiden century, where he scored 116 off 205 balls. Ali Mohammad Walid took four wickets.
Rajshahi led by 75 runs after Pritom Kumar scored 80. In the second innings, Sunzamul Islam took 6 for 41 to bowl out Barishal for 137 runs. Rajshahi successfully chased down the target of 68 runs in 15 overs, losing four wickets.
Defending champions Dhaka Division remain winless after their match against Chattogram Division ended in a draw. Chattogram batted first and scored 391 runs, with Sajjadul Haque making his maiden first-class century at 34 years old, scoring 139 runs. He added 221 runs for the second wicket with Parvez Hossain Emon, who made 95.

Dhaka replied with 401 runs, featuring a strong performance from Mahidul Islam Ankon, who scored 99 runs. Other contributors included Ashiqur Rahman Shibli, Joyraz Sheik, and Taibur Rahman, all scoring fifties. In their second innings, Chattogram reached 124 for 4.
