Nawaz Scores a Half-Century as Khulna Establishes a Total of 161


Mohammad Nawaz played a key role with a half-century, while Hasan Mahmud stood out in the bowling department with three wickets.

Khulna, batting first, faced an early setback when their captain Anamul Haque Bijoy was dismissed for 0. However, Evin Lewis’s aggressive innings of 37 runs helped the team recover.

Despite consistent scoring from Lewis, the top-order kept falling at regular intervals. Lewis was caught by Hasan Mahmud at 37 off 25 balls. Later, Nawaz and Dasun Shanaka took charge, stabilizing Khulna’s innings.

Shanaka, scoring 40 runs off 33 balls with five boundaries and a six, fell short of a half-century, being bowled by Hasan Mahmud. Nawaz’s crucial 55 off 34 balls helped Khulna reach a competitive total of 161.
Hasan Mahmud took three wickets, while Mahedi Hasan claimed two for Rangpur.
