Meanwhile, Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain went unsold. The eight-team tournament is scheduled to begin on July 21, with the final set for August 16.

Mustafizur and Rishad were the only Bangladeshis in the auction list, despite 21 others having registered for the draft. Mustafizur carried the highest base price among the Bangladeshi contingent (£100,000), while Rishad’s base price was £75,000.

Rishad was included in the Tier 1 spinners’ list alongside Akeal Hosein, AM Ghazanfar, Usman Tariq, and Jafer Chohan. Among them, Usman Tariq was picked by Birmingham Phoenix for £140,000, Jafer Chohan went to Welsh Fire for £35,000, while Akeal Hosein went unsold, and Ghazanfar pulled out of the auctions.

Mustafizur, listed under the Longlist category, was selected in the third and final stage of the auctions, where teams nominate players individually, with each nomination effectively acting as a base-price bid.
