5. Mohammad Ashraful – 61 Tests

One of Bangladesh’s earliest standout Test batters, Mohammad Ashraful played 61 matches after debuting as a 17-year-old in September 2001—barely a year after Bangladesh entered Test cricket. He scored 2,737 runs in 119 innings at an average of 24, including six centuries and eight fifties.
Ashraful also captained Bangladesh in 13 Tests between 2007 and 2009 before stepping away from international cricket in 2013.


4. Tamim Iqbal – 70 Tests

Explosive opener Tamim Iqbal made his Test debut in January 2008 and quickly made his mark with twin half-centuries against New Zealand in Dunedin. Across 70 Tests, Tamim accumulated 5,134 runs from 134 innings at an impressive average of nearly 40.
He is also among the few Bangladeshi players to score a Test double hundred, achieved against Pakistan in Khulna in 2015.


3. Shakib Al Hasan – 71 Tests

Legendary all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has featured in 71 Tests since debuting in 2007. He is Bangladesh’s highest wicket-taker in the format with 246 wickets at 31.72 and the fourth-highest run-scorer with 4,609 runs at an average of 37.77.
Shakib captained Bangladesh in 19 Tests, registering four wins—including the country’s historic first overseas series victory in the West Indies in 2009.


2. Mominul Haque – 75 Tests

Top-order batter Mominul Haque, with 75 Tests to his name, continues to be a key figure in Bangladesh’s Test setup. Since debuting in March 2013, he has amassed nearly 5,000 runs at 37.28, including 13 centuries and 24 fifties, along with 11 wickets.
His standout bowling moment includes a stunning 3–4 spell against New Zealand in 2023.
