Multan Sultans stopped Quetta Gladiators from winning their fourth consecutive match in the 11th game of this season’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, Multan Sultans had a strong start with opener Usman Khan hitting three boundaries in the first over. However, they lost some wickets, and Mohammad Rizwan’s 51 runs and Reeza Hendricks’ 72 runs in the final overs helped them reach a competitive total of 181 runs.

In response, Quetta Gladiators had a slow start, and despite a 60-run partnership between Rilee Rossouw and Khawaja Nafay, they couldn’t chase down the target. The Gladiators ended up scoring 167 runs, facing their first defeat of PSL 9 by 13 runs.

The key moment in the match was Rossouw’s unexpected dismissal, which shifted the momentum in favor of Multan Sultans. Sultans’ bowlers were accurate, and the Gladiators couldn’t recover, losing wickets regularly.

In the end, Multan Sultans defended their target successfully, breaking Quetta Gladiators’ winning streak in PSL 9.
