Multan Sultans received a significant boost as West Indies cricketer, Johnson Charles, joined their squad in preparation for their upcoming clash against Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine. The match is scheduled to take place at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday.

Charles made the transition from Dhaka to Karachi following the conclusion of his team Comilla Victorians’ campaign in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) final against Fortune Barishal, which ended in defeat on Friday.

Despite facing challenges during the BPL season, where he managed only 50 runs in four innings, Charles brings with him a wealth of experience, having been part of the West Indies team that clinched the T20 World Cup in 2016.

One of his remarkable achievements includes becoming the fastest Caribbean cricketer to score a T20I century, accomplishing this feat in just 39 balls against South Africa in 2023.

Multan Sultans currently lead the PSL 9 points table with 10 points under the captaincy of Mohammad Rizwan, as they aim for their second PSL title after their victory in 2021. Charles’ addition strengthens the team and his performance could prove pivotal in their pursuit of success in the ongoing PSL season.
