Chasing 182 on a tricky surface, LSG were in deep trouble at 128/7 at the end of the 16th over, with Choudhary needing to shoulder the responsibility alongside Avesh Khan. With 54 runs required off the final four overs and limited time in the middle, the youngster stepped up brilliantly.

Choudhary, who had faced just six deliveries at that stage, exploded into life and finished unbeaten on 54 off 27 balls, smashing 2 fours and 7 sixes to turn the game on its head and seal victory off the final ball.

After his heroics, a video shared by Star Sports showed Choudhary speaking about his admiration for MS Dhoni, calling the former India captain his role model. He also highlighted his love for Dhoni’s iconic “helicopter shot,” which he himself replicated during the innings with a stunning six over long-on.

“I have always seen MS Dhoni… I am a keeper. I have grown up watching him and the helicopter shot he plays. The 2011 World Cup always plays in my mind,” Choudhary said.

He further added that he aims to emulate Dhoni’s finishing abilities, describing the Chennai Super Kings legend as his inspiration for closing out matches.

“He has been my role model. I want to be a finisher like him and finish games like him,” he said.

With this win, LSG registered their second consecutive victory, while KKR continue to search for their first win of the season after four matches.
