Australian all-rounder Sophie Molineux, a key player in RCB-W’s title-winning campaign in WPL 2024, has been ruled out of the upcoming season due to a knee injury.
England all-rounder Charlie Dean has been named as her replacement. Dean, known for her consistency, has taken 46 WT20I wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.91 and is also a reliable lower-order batter.
Molineux sustained the injury following India’s tour of Australia in December last year and will not recover in time for the season.
The left-arm spinner was a pivotal figure for RCB-W in 2024, taking 12 wickets in 10 matches at an economy of 7.31. Her standout performance came in the final, where a game-changing three-wicket over helped seal the victory against the Delhi Capitals.
