Mohammad Rizwan Breaks Silence on NCCIA Probe, Says He Is Awaiting the Inquiry’s Conclusion

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has publicly addressed the ongoing National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) inquiry involving him and Imam-ul-Haq, saying he is fully cooperating with the investigation and waiting for the process to conclude.

The inquiry reportedly centres on allegations of information being leaked from Pakistan’s dressing room, with investigators also examining matters linked to the team’s recent England tour.

Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq appeared before NCCIA officials in Lahore, where they were questioned for around two hours. Investigators have reportedly examined their mobile phone data and financial records as part of the inquiry.

Speaking to Samaa.TV, Rizwan said: “I am fully cooperating with the investigation. I am waiting for the investigation to be completed.”

The development comes after the Pakistan Cricket Board recalled seven players, including Rizwan and Imam, from the England tour following Pakistan’s defeat in the second Test at Lord’s.

Rizwan has also endured a difficult run with the bat in recent Test cricket. He scored only 41 runs during Pakistan’s two-Test series in the West Indies and managed 61 runs across four innings in the first two Tests against England.

Pakistan eventually suffered a 0-3 series defeat in England, with losses at Headingley, Lord’s and Edgbaston. Rizwan is now awaiting the conclusion of the NCCIA inquiry before potentially addressing the matter in greater detail.
