Bangladesh has won four out of 20 Test matches against the West Indies, with only two victories in the Caribbean, both in 2009. Since then, they have lost six matches across three tours, including a heavy defeat and their lowest-ever Test total of 43 in Antigua in 2018.
“Our goal is to play good cricket. Last time we were here, we didn’t perform well. We want to win and have everyone contribute,” Miraz said at the pre-match press conference.

Additionally, nine players in Bangladesh’s current squad have never played in the West Indies, and no Bangladeshi batter has scored a century there since Mushfiqur Rahim in 2014.
