Heinrich Klaasen has been fined for breaching Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which pertains to “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures and fittings during an international match.”
The incident occurred after the final ball of the match when Klaasen, frustrated by his dismissal, kicked the stumps. As a result, one demerit point was added to his disciplinary record, marking his first offense in the last 24 months.

Klaasen admitted to the violation and accepted the penalty proposed by Richie Richardson of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, avoiding the need for a formal hearing. The charge was brought forward by on-field umpires Alex Wharf and Lubabalo Gcuma, third umpire Nitin Menon, and fourth umpire Allahuddien Palekar.
Level 1 breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct carry penalties ranging from an official reprimand to a maximum fine of 50% of the match fee, along with one or two demerit points.
