Amelia Kerr and Sophie Devine won’t be playing in New Zealand’s first T20I against England in Dunedin on March 19. Kerr was playing for Mumbai Indians in India and won’t make it back in time due to travel issues. Devine, who plays for RCB in India, will also miss the match as she’s in the WPL final.

New Zealand has called up Georgia Plimmer as a replacement for Kerr. Plimmer has been with the team before and is expected to contribute well. With Devine and Kerr out, Suzie Bates will lead the team in the opening match.

The England team also has four players unavailable due to WPL commitments. They will join the squad later for the fourth T20I. Some players like Lauren Bell and Heather Knight withdrew from their WPL deals to be available for the entire New Zealand series.
