The statement emphasized Rasheed’s passion, devotion, and loyalty to the squad, highlighting his part in the Karachi Kings’ development and success. It portrayed him as a valued friend to everyone he knew, in addition to being a professional.

Karachi Kings extended their deepest sympathies and condolences to Navaid’s family during this difficult time. The team asked that in order to support Navaid’s family during their grieving process, they be remembered in their prayers.

Rasheed’s funeral prayers are scheduled to take place today at Jama Masjid Zakariya, Khayaban-e-Khalid DHA Phase 8, after Maghrib in Karachi.

It is noteworthy that the ninth season of the PSL is set to commence on February 17, 2024, at the PCB’s headquarters in Lahore. The opening match will feature Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United. The tournament will be played across four cities—Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi—culminating in the final at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi on March 18. There will be thirty-four Twenty20 matches in the championship, which has six teams.
