The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Aqib Javed as the interim head coach for the men’s red-ball team, following the resignation of Jason Gillespie.
Aqib’s first task will be leading the team in a two-match Test series against South Africa as part of the ongoing all-format tour. The first Test is set to take place at SuperSport Park in Centurion from December 26 to 30, followed by the second Test at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town from January 3 to 7.

The Pakistan men’s team is currently in South Africa, competing in a three-match T20I series, which will be followed by a three-match ODI series before the Test fixtures.
