The dates for both the BBL and SA20 haven’t been announced yet. The BBL is expected to end by January 26, and the SA20 will likely start soon after the New Year’s Test against Pakistan ends on January 7 in Cape Town.
There’s a chance of overlap with South Africa potentially touring Pakistan for an ODI series ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy, scheduled for mid-February. ILT20 might also clash with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) during the same period.
David White, CEO of ILT20, confirmed the window for International League T20 Season 3, following discussions with stakeholders. Season 2 was a huge success, making ILT20 one of the most popular T20 leagues globally. Season 3 preparations have begun to enhance the league further.
The announcement for Season 3 comes after the successful Season 2 in 2024, where MI Emirates won the ILT20 trophy at Dubai International Stadium on February 17, 2024, in front of a full crowd.
The tournament will feature 34 matches, with the final scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2025.
