India’s women’s cricket team set a national record by posting a total of 435/5 after winning the toss and choosing to bat first against Ireland in a one-day international on Wednesday.
This score is the highest-ever ODI total for any Indian team, surpassing both the men’s and women’s records. It is also the fourth-highest total in women’s ODI history, with New Zealand having scored higher on three occasions—two of which were against Ireland, including the world-record 491/4 in Dublin in 2018.
