The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that the Indian squad for the upcoming ODI series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be revealed on Saturday.
In a media advisory issued on Friday, the BCCI confirmed that skipper Rohit Sharma and the chairman of the men’s selection committee, Ajit Agarkar, will attend a press conference scheduled for 12:30 PM IST.
“The Men’s Selection Committee will select India’s squad for the IDFC First Bank ODI series against England and the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tomorrow in Mumbai. The selection meeting will be followed by a press conference,” the advisory read.
Upcoming Fixtures
Before the ODI series, India will play a five-match T20I series against England, starting January 22 in Kolkata. The second and third matches will take place on January 25 and 28 in Chennai and Rajkot, respectively. Pune will host the fourth game on January 31, and the series will conclude with the fifth match in Mumbai on February 2.
The three-match ODI series will begin on February 6.
ICC Champions Trophy 2025
India’s next major challenge is the ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled from February 19 to March 9. The tournament will follow a hybrid hosting model, with matches played in Pakistan and the UAE. India’s games will take place in the UAE.
The eight-team tournament will feature 15 matches, including the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan on February 23 in Dubai. India will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 and conclude its league stage with a match against New Zealand on March 2.
