The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director, Shafiul Islam Nadel, confirmed that India will tour Bangladesh for a series before the World Cup. However, the exact schedule hasn’t been announced yet.
Nadel stated, “India will visit Bangladesh for a series before the World Cup. We’re not sure if it will be ODIs or T20Is. We’ll share more details about the venue and matches later.”
According to the tentative plan, the Indian team is expected to tour in the last week of April for a series outside the regular ICC Future Tour Programme.
The matches are set to take place between April 28 and May 9, with all games likely to be held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Last year, India played a full series in Bangladesh in July. Bangladesh won the T20I series 2–1, while the ODI series ended in a 1–1 draw (with one match tied).
Currently, Bangladesh is engaged in its first-ever bilateral series against Australia, featuring three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is.
