Opting to bat first, Pakistan, led by Zoofishan Ayyaz, managed only 67/7 in their 20 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Komal Khan top-scored with a 32-ball 24, including four boundaries. For India, Sonam Yadav delivered a match-winning bowling performance, claiming 4/6 in her four overs to keep Pakistan’s total in check.

In response, India chased down the target in just 7.5 overs, losing only one wicket. Left-hander G Kamilini starred with an unbeaten 44 off 29 balls, smashing four fours and three sixes. Sanika Chalke contributed 19 runs to seal the comfortable victory.


PCB Reschedules National Women’s One-Day Tournament 2024-25 After Hotel Fire Incident


Pakistan will now face Nepal in their second group match on Monday at 2 PM local time. Group A features India, Pakistan, and Nepal, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.

The six-team tournament follows a T20 format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super Four stage, scheduled for December 19 and 20. The final will take place on December 22, with additional placement matches for other positions on December 18 and 22.
