Miraz joined the Warriors as a replacement for Mohammad Nabi, who left the tournament to join Afghanistan’s T20I squad for their series against India. He immediately made his presence felt, delivering a superb four-over spell at Providence Stadium.
Miraz dismissed John Campbell, Kemol Savory and Charith Asalanka, helping Guyana restrict St Lucia Kings to just 119 runs in 18.5 overs. Imran Tahir was the star with the ball, taking five wickets, while Miraz provided excellent support.
After the match, Tahir was full of praise for the Bangladesh all-rounder, highlighting his international-level quality.
“Miraz is a world-class bowler who has been performing at international level all over the world,” Tahir said.
Miraz was also sent in at No. 5 during Guyana’s chase but managed only one run from four balls as Roston Chase dismissed him. Guyana Amazon Warriors eventually reached the target in 18.3 overs, winning the match by four wickets.
With an impressive bowling debut already under his belt, Miraz will be looking to make an even bigger impact for the Warriors as the CPL season continues.
