Herath Turns Down BCB’s Offer for a New Coaching Contract


According to Cricbuzz, BCB’s Jalal Yunus stated that Herath has declined the coaching offer and will not be involved in Bangladesh cricket. Yunus mentioned that the recruiting committee, which includes former national captains, has shortlisted candidates for coaching positions left vacant by the expiration of contracts for foreign coaches.

“The head coach will arrive on February 20 and we are working to fill the vacant positions. We have a committee that includes Naimur Rahman, Khaled Mahmud, CEO (Nizamuddin Chowdhury), David Moore and me,” he said.

“Today we sat and made the shortlist and very soon we will take interview. We will take virtual interview on February 6 from the shortlist,” he added.
