The Gaddafi Stadium upgrade project is now about 50% complete, with significant progress on the enclosures and floors of the main building. The floors in both the main and office buildings are nearing completion. Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), visited Gaddafi Stadium to assess the project’s status.
During his visit, Naqvi announced plans to create a cricket museum and a souvenir shop in the main building. He expressed satisfaction with the construction progress and inspected the work firsthand. Afterward, he held a meeting at the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) camp office to review the project’s design and plans.
Naqvi highlighted the need to expand the parking area and improve the main building’s exterior. He instructed FWO and other officials to finish the project on schedule, aiming for the stadium to be ready for the upcoming Champions Trophy tournament. “This stadium is on track to meet international standards,” Naqvi said, adding that the enhancements will greatly benefit players and cricket fans.
