The 36-year-old delivered a sensational all-round performance, first dismantling MI’s batting line-up with a superb four-wicket haul (4/23), before finishing the game with the bat in a tense final-over finish. RCB needed nine runs off the last three balls, and Bhuvneshwar stunned everyone by smashing a yorker for a six before sealing the win off the final delivery.

Former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu was full of praise for the experienced pacer, calling him “an artist” for his precision and control.

“I think it’s just his ability and especially on a pitch like that where most of the balls would hit the stumps he is even more lethal… He’s becoming sort of an artist now. He’s just becoming so, so good at what he’s doing,” Rayudu said (as quoted by ESPNcricinfo).

Bhuvneshwar’s outstanding spell included the wickets of Ryan Rickelton, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma, taking his season tally to 21 wickets and pushing him to the top of the Purple Cap race.

Former cricketer Deep Dasgupta also praised his rhythm and release, noting that Bhuvneshwar has rediscovered the control and effectiveness that defined his peak years for India.
