Former Australia Spinner MacGill Found Guilty of Cocaine Supply Charge

Former Australian Test cricketer Stuart MacGill has been found guilty of participating in the supply of cocaine, according to local reports.

Authorities allege that in 2021, MacGill introduced his personal cocaine dealer to an associate, who then went on to arrange a US$200,000 drug deal. While MacGill was not directly involved in the transaction itself, a jury ruled that he had knowingly taken part in the supply of a prohibited drug, as reported by ABC News.

However, the 54-year-old was found not guilty of the more serious charge of participating in a commercial-scale drug supply.

MacGill, a talented leg-spinner, played 44 Test matches for Australia between 1998 and 2008. His career overlapped with that of Shane Warne, widely regarded as one of the greatest spin bowlers in cricket history.
