Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has highlighted an exciting battle between Rahul and SRH’s young pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain. Pathan praised Rahul’s recent form, especially his composed half-century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, noting that the experienced opener looks in complete control and remains a strong player against pace.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Pathan said this contest could be decisive, as Rahul’s ability to handle fast bowling will test the young SRH attack.
Pathan also advised Praful Hinge to avoid repeating mistakes from the previous game against Sanju Samson, where he relied too heavily on short-pitched deliveries. He emphasized the importance of varying lengths and using fuller deliveries early on, warning that Rahul is likely to capitalize on any predictable bowling.
On the other hand, Pathan singled out Sakib Hussain as a bowler to watch, particularly for his effective use of slower deliveries. He suggested that such variations could trouble big hitters like David Miller, making that matchup another key factor in the contest.
