During the celebrations, drones formed a glowing map of India in the sky, with the T20 World Cup trophy showcased within the outline of the country. Notably, the display depicted Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) as part of India. The drone show was broadcast on PTV Sports, allowing viewers in Pakistan to witness the visuals during the final.

On the field, India posted a massive 255/5 in their 20 overs, powered by an explosive top-order display. Sanju Samson led the charge with a brilliant 89 off 46 balls, smashing five fours and eight sixes at a strike rate of 193.48. Abhishek Sharma added a quickfire 52 off 21 balls, including six fours and three sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 247.62, while Ishan Kishan contributed a swift 54 off 25 balls to keep the momentum high. For New Zealand, James Neesham was the standout bowler, finishing with figures of 3/46 in his four overs.

Chasing the target of 256, New Zealand were bundled out for 159 in 19 overs. Tim Seifert top-scored with a lively 52 off 26 balls, hitting two fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 200, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled under constant pressure from India’s bowlers.
