Saurabh Tiwary praised MS Dhoni, calling him the “God of Jharkhand cricket.” Dhoni, hailing from Ranchi, is the only captain to secure victories in all three major ICC white-ball tournaments: T20 World Cup (2007), ODI World Cup (2011), and Champions Trophy (2013). Tiwary highlighted Dhoni’s role in putting Jharkhand on the map and emphasized the former captain’s ability to inspire confidence in his team members, standing by them unconditionally.

MS Dhoni is the God of Jharkhand cricket. Ever since he started playing for India, people started knowing us as a team. They came to know where Jharkhand is. MS Dhoni gave us confidence and whenever he is around or in the town, he comes to attend our practice sessions. Sometimes, he takes part in the warm-up games also. His support is everything for us,” Saurabh Tiwary told Sports Now.

“Dhoni bhaiya gives a lot of freedom when he is leading the team. He will stand by you even if you are not performing. Apart from leading the team, when Dhoni bhaiya is standing behind the wicket, he helps bowlers a lot. He would tell you how the wicket is responding and also he will help you with accurate field placements,” he added.

Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina recently praised the captaincy skills of Rohit Sharma, the current captain of the national team. Raina drew a comparison between Rohit and the legendary former captain MS Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma led the Indian cricket team to win the five-match Test series against England after trailing 0-1. The team, under Rohit’s captaincy, won three straight matches, maintaining their unbeaten record with 17 consecutive Test series victories at home.
